UGG PRIDE FLOAT

The Brief
The brief was to transform UGG's new Ultra Platform shoe into the centerpiece of its LA Pride parade presence. Rather than simply scaling up the product, my goal was to create a larger-than-life expression of the shoe—one that celebrated Pride through artistry, movement, and self-expression.

The Design
Turned a product launch into a moving piece of public art.
Walking Landmark: Reimagined the Ultra Platform as a 60-foot parade float, posed mid-stride to create the illusion that the shoe was walking through West Hollywood.
Whimsical Worldbuilding: Surrounded the float with oversized blades of grass and transformed the shoe's signature rainbow platform into a sweeping overhead arch that framed riders below.
Designed for Every Angle: Built multiple levels within the float, allowing talent to engage from inside the shoe and beneath it while creating dynamic moments from every viewing angle.
Takeaway: The strongest product storytelling doesn't just enlarge an object—it builds an entire world around it.
The Execution
Extended the product story beyond the float to create a cohesive campaign across the parade experience.
One Story, Multiple Scales: Carried the design language across oversized float elements, wearable product, and miniature shoe replicas to reinforce the launch at every touchpoint.
Community at the Center: Created a platform for influencers, creators, and members of the LGBTQ+ community to celebrate Pride while expressing their individuality through the product.
Content by Design: Every interaction—from the float itself to the styling moments—was planned to generate vibrant, shareable content throughout the parade.
Takeaway: Great experiential work doesn't end with the build—it creates a visual language that scales across people, product, and content.
