The Bell Tolls: Entrance Designs for The Phenom
Updated: Jul 29
1. WrestleMania XIV — Undertaker vs. Kane
The Original Moment
Undertaker’s first WrestleMania face-off with Kane introduced the druids as part of his procession, with JR framing them as “creatures of the night” and naming Undertaker the “Prince of Darkness.” The entrance leaned on the circular truss, inward-facing light, symphonic build, smoke, and Undertaker’s iconic gothic cloak.
The Reimagining
The entrance becomes The Druid Summoning. One lone druid enters first, turns back toward the stage, and calls Undertaker forward. With each gong, more druids appear, lightning ignites their torches, and the ramp transforms into a ritual pathway.
The Details
One lead druid summons Undertaker from the end of the ramp.
Druids line both sides like soldiers, then turn inward to form a torch-lit tunnel.
Undertaker is revealed beneath the circular truss through a strobe/gong sequence.
His original WrestleMania XIV attire stays intact.
Smoke, blue/purple light, lightning, and torch fire heighten the procession.

2. WrestleMania 25 — Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
The Original Moment
WrestleMania 25 framed Shawn Michaels and Undertaker as opposing forces: Shawn descending in white light, Undertaker rising through fire and darkness. While the match was historic, Undertaker’s entrance itself was fairly textbook, using classic fire, smoke, and presence against the giant 25th Anniversary star stage.
The Reimagining
The stage becomes The Graveyard of WrestleMania Victims. The six star-point platforms surrounding the ramp turn into gravesites for Undertaker’s past WrestleMania opponents, building toward Shawn Michaels as the next soul to be claimed.
The Details
SP1–SP6 each hold a gravesite with mound of dirt, tombstone, candles, fog, and a druid.
Each gong reveals another grave and another group of victims.
Undertaker rises from a circular ring of fire, backlit like he is emerging from hell.
Shawn’s empty grave sits on the center ramp with his tombstone marked “2009.”
The final overview shows all six gravesites, the fire rise, and Shawn’s grave in one full stage picture.

3. Hall of Fame Induction — The Phenom Ascension
The Original Moment
Undertaker’s Hall of Fame induction centered on reflection rather than spectacle: the ring, clear WWE podium, black carpet, legacy attire displays, and an emotional speech honoring the man behind The Phenom.
The Reimagining
The induction becomes The Phenom Ascension, a full legacy takeover using the ramp, ring, and rafters to celebrate Undertaker’s eras, accomplishments, and final transformation from character back into Mark Calaway.
The Details
Fiery kinetic orbs line the ramp, then rise with each gong to form a vertical 9x16 fire corridor.
Undertaker enters as a backlit Deadman silhouette beneath his purple logo and Hall of Fame graphics.
Four hologram Undertakers appear in the ring, each in a different iconic career look.
The holograms kneel in his signature summoning pose, then dissolve into purple smoke.
Present-day Undertaker stands behind the clear podium, raises his arms, rolls his eyes back, and becomes the last one standing.
